Sideways Screening

On Monday, October 13, the Swift Current Broncos’ InnovationPlex will welcome guests for the screening of Sideways — a raw, survivor-led documentary about the 1986 Broncos bus crash, the four boys tragically lost, and the survivors who carried that trauma forward. This event is more than a film premiere: It’s a tribute to those we lost and those who survived. It’s a chance to acknowledge the courage of alumni, the Broncos, and the Swift Current community. It’s an opportunity to start honest conversations about mental health with the next generation of athletes. What others are saying: “This is one of hockey’s most important untold stories.” Kelly Hrudey, NHL Alumni “This movie is so well done.” John Barlow, MP for Foothills “Everyone needs to see this film.” Stacey Meyer, WHL We are inviting local sport organizations, families, and youth to be part of this historic community event. Tickets are available now: https://sidewaysdocumentary.ca/events/ With the help of the community sharing the event, via social media and email distribution with your members, families, and networks. Every ticket sold helps ensure that proceeds stay local, supporting youth mental health initiatives in Swift Current. Thank you for helping us fill the InnovationPlex and shine a light on the resilience of this community. Together, we can honor the past while empowering the future.
